The Bolognana production plant, located in the Province of Lucca – a few kilometers from our headquarters in Castelvecchio Pascoli – is a vertically integrated site where all phases of the industrial plasma processing take place.
For many years, the Bolognana plant has been Kedrion’s main production hub and is still a cutting-edge hub capable of combining quality with production efficiency and technological innovation.

Bolognana Expand Program
Today, the Bolognana hub is at the center of an industrial expansion project aimed at tripling its fractionation capacity, increasing from 1.1 to 3.3 million liters of plasma processed each year.
The project—named the Bolognana X3 Expansion Program—envisages the construction of a new four-story building dedicated to plasma fractionation, through the redevelopment of available space within the site.
The new facility will be fully integrated into the industrial network formed by the Bolognana site and the Castelvecchio Pascoli site, located just a few kilometers away.
