A brand new location for KEDPlasma donors in the very center of Fürth

KEDPlasma relocated its German collection center in Fürth at the end of last year to a brand new facility in the very heart of the city. The German KEDPlasma team looks forward to receiving generous plasma donors in brighter, more spacious and comfortable premises on level 2 of the "Neue Mitte Fürth [New Fürth Centre]", located in Hallstrasse 9.

The new center starts with 26 beds but has the capacity of 46. It is planned to collect 46.000 plasma donations this year, which enables for example the yearly treatment of more than 350 patients with primary immunodeficiency and nearly 40 patients affected by hemophilia A.

“Thanks to this new facility, Fürth’s citizens can donate plasma in a central and more suitable location. Their contribution is vital to help providing life-saving plasma-derived therapies to the growing number of patients that Kedrion Biopharma´s German sales team serves”, stated Dr. Stephan Walsemann, Managing Director of KEDPlasma Germany.

The opening ceremony of the KEDPlasma “Neue Mitte Fürth” center will take place at Hallstrasse 9 premises on 18th January from 2 pm onwards. It will feature a tour of the facility, and a plasma donation demonstration. Kedrion Biopharma’s President of the Business Unit Plasma, Andrea Marcucci, Dr. Stephan Walsemann, and the Mayor of Fürth, Markus Braun, amongst others, will attend the event.
