On Rare Disease Day, Kedrion Biopharma is proud to stand with the global community in raising awareness for the millions of individuals and families worldwide affected by rare diseases.
Rare Disease Day is the official international awareness-raising campaign for rare diseases, organized by EURORDIS, which takes place on February 28th every year. Raising awareness amongst the public and decision-makers about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives and generating change for the 300 million people worldwide living with a rare disease, their families and carers are the main objectives.
This year’s focus is equity. With this intent Kedrion Biopharma works alongside international patients and medical-scientific communities to promote programs focused on increasing the number of diagnoses and guaranteeing more equitable programs in all those geographical areas where it is still not possible to satisfy patients affected by rare diseases.
