The III edition of the congress "Hepatitis B, surgery and liver transplant – Hot Topics in Liver Transplant: new viruses and Hepatitis B”, supported by Kedrion, takes place on 8th and 9th June. The event is being held at the Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort and Spa with over 100 Italian transplantologists and hepatologists attending, representatives from transplant centres throughout Italy. During the meeting preliminary figures will be presented from the national survey on hepatitis B transplant patients undergoing prophylactic treatment, together with a review of new viruses, such as HHV6 and HHV8, which have a significant effect on liver transplants.
