Kedrion is one of the main sponsors of the National SISET Conference

Kedrion Biopharma is proud to sponsor the 26th National Conference of the Italian Society for Studies on Hemostasis and Thrombosis (SISET), which will take place virtually from November 5th to 7th, with the aim of supporting the formation and continuous development of the medical-scientific community specializing in the field of bleeding and thromboembolic diseases.

This biennial event brings together leading Italian experts to debate the  key topics of discussion of a sector which is subject to continuous research and development: from the latest research findings to new diagnostic challenges, thus promoting therapies which are radically changing the approach to patient care. The 26th National Conference celebrates also the 50th anniversary of the founding of SISET with some extremely interesting commemorative lectures and symposiums.

In addition to participating with a virtual stand, Kedrion will sponsor a scientific symposium entitled “Covid-19: Therapeutic Challenge” to be held on November 6th. The event – moderated by Armando Tripodi, President of SISET – which will focus on the very topical issue of physiopathology of the SARS-CoV-2 desease and   the use of plasma and its derivatives as a possible anti COVID-19treatment ,  will also include presentations by Dr. Marco Marietta, Head of the “Coagulation Disorders” unit of the University Hospital Polyclinic of Modena, by Prof. Anna Falanga, Head of the Department of Immunohematology and Transfusion Medicine and the Thrombosis and Hemostasis Center at the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, and by Prof. Steven Spitalnik, Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology and Co-Director of the Laboratory of Transfusion Biology at the Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
