Kedrion Biopharma took part in the XVII edition of the biennial meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID), held in Barcelona on 21-24 September 2016. This meeting has become the foremost international conference on immunodeficiencies, bringing together immunologists from around the world. This year, its focus was on basic research and diagnostic immunology, genetics and immunobiology of human diseases, advances in clinical practice, novel therapeutic approaches to tolerance induction and new insights into stem-cell and cellular therapies.
The company was present with a 36-sqm stand, and with a medical point to facilitate meetings between doctors and specialists, and staff from Kedrion Biopharma’s medical department. Moreover, Kedrion led a delegation of 44 international guests from 11 countries: Austria, Colombia, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Russia and Turkey. Industry leaders in the field of immunoglobulins (CSL, Grifols, Octapharma, Shire, Biotest and LFB) were also present with booths.
